遥か昔、日本の神話時代には、天地開闢を成し遂げた神々が存在していた。その中でも、特に有名なのが、兄妹神のイザナギとイザナミ、そして天照大神である。
ある日、イザナギとイザナミは、天空に浮かぶ天の岩戸に挑戦した。しかし、イザナミが子を産んだ際に、彼女の身体には穴が開き、それが汚染された。悲しみに暮れたイザナギは、天の岩戸で身を清め、妻を連れて地上に戻った。
しかし、イザナミの汚染は深刻で、彼女は冥界へと旅立ってしまった。イザナギは、愛する妻を取り戻すため、冥界へと足を踏み入れた。そこで、彼女と再会し、イザナミはイザナギに向かって「私が死んだ後、子供たちを生むことを許してほしい」と願った。
イザナギは彼女の願いを受け入れ、冥界から脱出した後、天照大神を生み出した。天照大神は、太陽の女神として知られ、自然と光明を司る神である。
ある日、天照大神は、イザナミの死によって彼女が残した穴に挑戦した。しかし、そこで彼女は、自らが汚染されてしまったと気づいた。それによって、天照大神は、イザナミに似た怪物を生み出してしまった。
この出来事から、天照大神は、現実というものを知り、人間たちがどのように自然と戦っているかを学んだ。そして、彼女は、人々が自然を楽しめるよう、自らの光明で世界を照らし、生命を育むことを決意した。
しかし、天照大神の光明が世界を照らす中で、人々は自然を怖れるようになってしまった。彼らは、自分たちの起源を忘れ、セーフティネットに頼り、自然を征服しようとするようになった。
天照大神は、この状況を見て、心を痛めた。彼女は自然の偉大さを人々に思い出させるため、自然の中に隠れて暮らすようになった。そして、人々が自然を再び楽しめるよう、自らの力を使って自然を守り、生命を育んでいった。
時が経ち、人々は再び自然と共に暮らすことを覚え、自然を大切にするようになっていった。そして、天照大神が自然を守り、育んでいることに気づき、感謝の念を持つようになった。
「ご自愛ください」という言葉が生まれたのも、この頃である。天照大神は、自然と共に生きることが大切であることを人々に教え、彼らが幸せに暮らせるよう、自然を守っていくことを訴えた。
そして、天照大神は、自分たちの起源であるイザナギとイザナミ、そして自然というものが、人々にとっていかに大切なものであるかを思い出させた。彼女は、人々に自然の素晴らしさを伝え、自然と共に生きることの美しさを教え続けた。
その結果、人々は自然を大切にし、自然の中で楽しむことができるようになった。そして、天照大神は、人々が自然を守り、育て続けることができるよう、自らも自然と共に生き続けたのである。
このように、天照大神は、自然というものが人々にとっていかに大切なものであるかを教え、人々が自然を大切にし、自然と共に暮らすことの美しさを伝えた。そして、彼女は、自分たちの起源であるイザナギとイザナミに戻ることを決意し、自然に帰っていった。
人々は、天照大神の教えを忘れることはなく、自然を守り、育て続けることを誓った。そして、自然と共に生きることの素晴らしさを知り、自然と共に幸せに暮らしていったのである。

“Teachings of amaterasu and nature”
Long ago, in the mythical age of Japan, there were gods who accomplished the creation of heaven and earth. Among them, the most famous were the brother and sister deities Izanagi and Izanami, and Amaterasu.
One day, Izanagi and Izanami challenged Amano-Iwato, a cave in the sky. But when Izanami gave birth to a child, a hole appeared in her body, which was contaminated. Grief-stricken, Izanagi purified himself at Amano-Iwato and returned to earth with his wife.
But Izanami’s contamination was so severe that she departed to the underworld. Izanagi set foot into the underworld to retrieve his beloved wife. There, reunited with her, Izanami turned to Izanagi and asked him to allow her to give birth to children after my death.
Izanagi granted her wish, and after escaping from the underworld, she gave birth to Amaterasu. Amaterasu, known as the Sun Goddess, is the goddess of nature and luminosity.
One day, Amaterasu challenged the hole left by her by the death of Izanami. There, however, she found herself contaminated. This caused Amaterasu to create a monster that resembled Izanami.
From this event, Amaterasu learned about reality and how humans fight against nature. She then decided to illuminate the world with her own light and nurture life so that people could enjoy nature.
However, as Amaterasu’s luminous light illuminated the world, people became afraid of nature. They forgot their origins, relied on safety nets, and began to try to conquer nature.
When Amaterasu saw this situation, she was distressed. She began to live hidden in nature to remind people of its greatness. She then used her own power to protect nature and nurture life so that people could enjoy nature again.
As time passed, people learned to live with nature again and came to cherish it. They realized that Amaterasu was protecting and nurturing nature, and they began to feel gratitude.
It was around this time that the phrase “Take care of yourself” was coined. Amaterasu taught people that it is important to live with nature and appealed to them to protect nature so that they could live happily.
Amaterasu then reminded the people of their origins, Izanagi and Izanami, and how important nature was to them. She continued to teach people the wonders of nature and the beauty of living with nature.
As a result, people came to cherish and enjoy nature. Amaterasu, in turn, continued to live with nature so that people could continue to protect and nurture it.
In this way, Amaterasu taught people how important nature is to people and conveyed the beauty of people cherishing nature and living with nature. She then decided to return to their origins, Izanagi and Izanami, and returned to nature.
The people never forgot the teachings of Amaterasu and vowed to continue to protect and nurture nature. They learned the beauty of living with nature and lived happily with nature.
